Dimensionality reduction techniques such as PCA are simple but lose a lot of the genome's structure. We use algorithms from topology to analyze population structure in a more complete way.
Many modern computer vision algorithms rely on the 3x3 convolutional layer and while they achieve excellent accuracy metrics, are very computationally intensive. This project look at the effects of using a Box Convolutional layer that can learn its size and location, and thus reduce number of parameters in the model.

Brain aneurysms can be extremely dangerous if undetected, and detection from a clinician is a time intensive process, with only 5-10 slices out of a typical 500 in a CT scan. We use computer vision for automatical detection.
